Terms.
The rules for using FIXME, written to be read.
Who this is with
These terms are between you and FIXME ("we"), reachable at general@getfixme.dev. By downloading or using FIXME or its phone helpers you agree to them. If you use FIXME for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
Your license
- When you buy FIXME you get a personal, non-exclusive license to use it on one Mac at a time, to develop and debug software. You can move the license to another Mac of yours, up to twice in any 30 days.
- Don't share your key, resell it, or rent the app out. Don't remove or work around the license checks. Don't reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble FIXME, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
- FIXME stays ours. These terms don't transfer ownership of it to you.
The free allowance
Without a license, you get your first 20 tickets from your phone with no time limit, and 5 tickets a day when circling on your Mac.
The phone helpers
The iOS helper and the React Native helper may be used in the Debug or development builds of apps you develop, for use with FIXME. You may not include them in builds you distribute to end users (Release, TestFlight or App Store builds), redistribute them on their own, or modify and distribute them. They are built to be left out of release builds, and checking that is your responsibility.
Price and payment
FIXME costs $19.99 as a one time payment, plus any tax that applies where you live. Payments are processed by Polar, the merchant of record, whose terms apply to the purchase. Polar creates your license key and emails it with your receipt, and keeps it in your Polar customer portal.
Refunds
You have 30 days from purchase to ask for your money back, no questions asked. See Refunds. A refunded license is revoked.
Your content and your agents
- Tickets are saved on your Mac and belong to you. We don't get a copy.
- You choose where a ticket goes. Once you send it to an AI agent, the agent and its provider handle it under their own terms. FIXME hides common secrets in text, but redaction can miss things, and screenshots and clips show whatever was on screen. Check before you send.
- FIXME gives agents context and, if you turn on live control, the ability to tap, type and scroll your Debug app. You decide what to allow. You are responsible for what an agent does with that, and for reviewing any change it makes before you ship it.
Availability
FIXME works offline. The license service and the relay are online services. We aim to keep them running, but we don't promise they will always be available. FIXME is built so that if the license service is unreachable, everything keeps working.
Ending
You can stop using FIXME at any time. We can revoke a license that was refunded or charged back, or that breaks these terms.
No warranty
FIXME is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We don't promise it will be error free or that it will find every bug or the right line of code.
Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, lost profits or lost time arising from using FIXME, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for FIXME. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law where you live, or liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes
If we change these terms, we change the date above.
